As of press time on Monday, there are 71 registrants — a far cry from the mere two dozen and change who have been listed over the past two weeks. More entrants are expected right up until tomorrow’s deadline, which is and has been a common occurrence for US Senior tournaments. It also bears mentioning that there are currently zero foreign athletes registered. Reminder: the ’22 Bill Farrell Memorial will select the United States’ Pan-American Championships roster (highest American placewinner in each weight category).

Nowry (’19, ’21 World Team)

Provisor (’12, ’16 Olympic Team; ’17, ’21 World Team)
Vera (’21 World Team)

Bey’s appearance in the Bill Farrell will come with two important “firsts”: 1) Friday will offer his first competition since winning his fourth Senior National title in December of ’19; 2) it will be his first tournament for Army/WCAP. Bey’s re-emergence is likely to receive the most attention, and rightfully so. At still only 24 years of age, he is one of the sport’s most electrifying and popular competitors.

In addition, it is expected that Jake Fisher (77 kg, Curby 3-Style, 5PM #10) will register. Fisher was on the ’10 World Team — and also won the ’11 Trials but did not compete due to injury.

Several other prominent athletes are reportedly registering, as well, and all information located in this piece will be updated accordingly.
