This past Thursday evening, Greco-Roman standout RaVaughn Perkins (NYAC) was involved in a motor vehicle accident that has resulted in several serious injuries and a presumably-long recovery process. Perkins is currently hospitalized and amid treatment efforts. No one else was harmed in the incident.

A Go Fund Me drive has been instituted on Perkins’ behalf by United States National Team head coach Herb House in order to assist with offsetting what are expected to be significant healthcare expenses. 5PM kindly asks that those who support Perkins, and the US program in general, consider donating any amount — no matter how big or small — to this effort. Donating on a computer or device is extremely quick and all proceeds will go directly to Perkins (click on the donation banner below).

Perkins, 32, has been one of America’s most successful and prolific Senior Greco-Roman competitors for over a decade. A multi-time US National Champion and World Team representative, Perkins has also amassed a collection of medals from high-rated overseas events, including two Pan-Am Championships golds. This season, the native of Omaha, Nebraska was anticipated to be in the running for a spot on the 2025 World Team at 72 kilograms, as well.
