Just the other day, we ran a short article containing quotes from Army sparkplug Max Nowry (55 kg), who along with a group of other fellow military Greco athletes is in Bulgaria for training camp. Nowry shared how the US wrestlers were well-taken care of in terms of partners and that a day later he and the rest of the guys would be getting in some matches.
And that’s exactly what happened. The Americans participated in practice matches to close out the first week of camp with today (Saturday) offering a bit of cardio, as everyone is taking in a run to a waterfall that is in the area.
The photos below are not of the highest resolution ever recorded in the history of digital photography. However, they are certainly more than sufficient enough to provide a visual context of what one of the more challenging international training camps has to offer. In addition, we hope to have more coming out of Bulgaria as the camp continues to unfold leading to the Nikola Petrov tournament on March 22nd. Special thanks goes to Nowry for the photos and the other American athletes in attendance for helping us keep everyone stateside in the loop.
